I've enjoyed every post, with its excellent words and pictures, but then it's been dry sitting here, unlike your adventures in France and the Dolomites. Having done a Melbourne to Sydney ride (only about a third of what you did) I can understand if you felt a bit emotional at the end. Quite the experience. It was interesting to read your comments about the proliferation of solar power generation. If you fly (as I have) from Oslo to Frankfurt, it's almost continuous wind turbines in Denmark and northern Germany, and on floating platforms on the sea as well. In Australia we are still scared of shadows, talking about sleepless sheep, sick farmers and fading curtains! Psst....someone told me this is the 21st century....John Ulrichsennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3268067566917426433.post-68242585609177492162016-06-20T20:21:23.968+10:002016-06-20T20:21:23.968+10:00Oh forgot to mention that I loved the poppy photos...Oh forgot to mention that I loved the poppy photos ..... my favourite flower and red is my favourite colour - they suit Di more (sorry Doug). Thank you Doug for taking wonderful photos and providing an amazing dialogue of the journey. Loved the 'prior to the final day' post ..."not a long day for the final day" ..... yeah right .... the blaze attitude to those kms and altitude can only be penned from a wonderfully hardened rider after 4 weeks in the saddle. ... particularly when one never knows what 'curl-balls' might arise!! All the best to you and Di for your trekking ventures ..... stay safe and hope to join you again on a Ride and Seek cycling venture ....
